FURNACEFACE
And The Days Are Short Again... (Upright)

The familiar weight gain obsession is resurrected in the charmy smarmy "I'm
Getting Fat", and it's like Furnaceface never left. It's been a while, but
everything's alright again, cuz the Capital boys have endowed us with another
swank platter of hoe-down hoser tunes. A warm mix of folky ballads, sharp metal
edged raps and all out rawkin' roll, blessed with a passion and humour that
remains the face's main forté. A trippy dubscape venture called "23:59" with a
plush girlie vocal sees yet another new, albeit most welcome addition to the
repertoire. Add the big beat bass heavy, cowpunk rockabilly barnburner "Lucky
#7" to the group's formidable list of memorable classics, and the album is a
solid whole. This is the goods, and well worth the wait.
