Slow, highly dramatic metal that reminds one highly of the days of early
Judas Priest, especially in the epic storytelling of the songs (including
but not restricted to protecting the Olympic torch, sword fighting, and
running away from stuff). While the lead vocalist doesn't quite have the
range of the young Halford, that long drawn-out, ballady quality is
definitely there. Plenty of wailing guitar solos, here, too, complimented
nicely by a cool drummer that must moonlight as a metronome.
