Point of clarification: John Ford is a rousing Vancouver rock quartet, with nary a John (or a Ford for that matter) in the fold. Riding a wave of hoopla based on a kickass live show and "CMW's Best Unsigned Band of 2001" plaque in their rumpus room, the westenders enticed Gordie Johnson to produce this, their coming out party. Not a bad little slab, frothing with vitality, but too much studio polish gives 'em a glam feel instead of a rough edge. Blame Johnson cuz the band can rock.
