Clever title that - I'm guessing they mean it as a compliment. Seattle supergroup Minus 5 joins forces with Wilco, the band that is everywhere, for a studio conglomeration that looks good on paper. A super duper group! Yes there are brilliant moments, but continuity is sacrificed when this many cooks are crammed into the kitchen. Sappy Beatles style pop tunes (think Paul at the piano) mix with nice folk passages. You remember the Golden Smog supergroup project? Uh-huh. Let's face it: supergroups suck. Take half the tunes from that one and half the tunes here, and there's a passable disc in there. Where's a ruthless editor when you need one?
