RINGO STARR
Ringo Rama (Koch)
Reviewed by John Sekerka
Never a good sign when good ol' Ringo starts an album reminiscing about his last hit. "It Don't Come Easy" should have been a nice swan song; instead we've been ladled with twenty-five years worth of star-studded drivel. With George and John no longer around to embarrass themselves, it's up to Paul and Ringo to sully the good name of the Beatles, and it's turning out to be a great race. Whilst Paul continues to play Beatle Paul at every opportunity, Ringo has enough common decency to avoid the oldies revival circuit. Too bad he can't write a good tune. But then we all knew that.
