THE SKULLS
Therapy For The Shy (Dr. Strange Records)
Reviewed by Alan Wright
Another oldtime punk band reforms sort of - only singer Billy
Bones remains from the original '77 lineup which now includes former
members of the Gears and the Addicts - and kicks out a great release.
Aside from remakes of "Building Models," "Victims" and "On Target,"
three class of '77 songs, this is all new material that, well, sounds
like their old stuff! Fast-paced and raw sounding, this is in yer face
punk at it's best. Lotsa buzzsaw guitar and shouted backing vocals.
Plus, all the songs are really catchy and fun. Oh, and they cover the
Saints' "Erotic Neurotic."
