Punk comps come a dime a dozen, and that's why the skateboarding hoards love 'em. The Warped Tour series on Side 1 provides the usual fare: primo punk bands in large quantities (25) squeezed on to one shiny disc. The hook here is that all performances are live, and most are unreleased, recent recordings. Another lure is the diversity of talent offered up. Along with the new punk heavyweights (Dropkick Murphys, NOFX, Blink 182), you get a bit of rockabilly (Amazing Crowns), some speedy swing (Royal Crown Review) and grrl rawk (Lunachicks). Throw in some old timers (Bad Religion, 7 Seconds, and the always stupendous Supersuckers), and the comp is a glorious beast the whole family can skate to.
