IN THIS ISSUE OF COSMIK DEBRIS: Bassist Bob Daisley discusses his ongoing battle with Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne over unpaid royalties, uncredited performances, and now, the ultimate sin: Daisley and drummer Lee Kerslake have had their performances removed from Blizzard Of Ozz and Diary of a Madman. Also, we catch a little chat time with Dalek, front man of one of the most powerful hip-hop crews... ever. Holly Day talks to Glover Gill about his latest soundtrack, we say goodbye to Alan Lomax, a man who had more of an impact on popular music than anyone else we can think of, when it gets right down to it, and we do tell you why, and we bring you the 13 O'Clock News for all your intellectual fulfillment needs. All that and more await you, so get it in gear!

Audible Debris COSMIK RADIO!: Cosmik Radio is still playing the July edition, but we're just a few days away from the August one. Should be just in time for September, huh!? Pretty cool!! Hey, we may not know how to tell time but we know how to make a good radio show. You just need a RealAudio Player to listen. If you don't have one, go pick one up. Cosmik Radio is just the kind of Net-Only audio that radio station program directors don't want you getting hooked on. So go ahead. Inhale!

BLIZZARD OF WRONGS: BOB DAISLEY ON LIFE WITH OZZY. - Lies, trickery, credit taken for the work of others, betrayal... It sounds like Shakespear but it's that nutty, fun little couple known as The Osbournes. Find out exactly how original bass player Bob Daisley and drummer Lee Kerslake have been erased from history by the Ozzman. Or so he thinks. Interview by DJ Johnson.

DALEK - Hip HOP, thank you, not that other thing. What other thing? It's something that we're being spoon fed and told is hip-hop but it's just not, and Dalek isn't interested. Dalek's been places and seen things and has things to say. His way of doing so is surreal and poetic and waiting for your attention, and the crew that bears his name may be one of the most creative in the land. Interview by Jason Thornberry.

UNDERSTANDING ALAN LOMAX - Without Alan Lomax, popular music would be very, very different. Had he never made his journeys and discovered the artists he did, who knows what we'd be listening to? Lomax passed away recently at the age of 87 after a life which makes the word "remarkable" seem lacking. Article by Shaun Dale.

WAKING LIFE - Composer Glover Gill talks about working on Waking Life, a revolutionary film on which he had the unusual luxury of time - in fact, an entire year to prepare the soundtrack as opposed to the usual few weeks. Holly Day gets the story.

THE 13 O'CLOCK NEWS - It's 2 AM in Hong Kong, 7:21 in Angola, the clocks are broken in Sitka, Alaska, it's 5:44 PM in Lover's Pantry and it's 13 O'Clock at the Cosmik Towers and time for the 13 O'Clock news. Pull up a beanbag and situate yourself.

Just a few things to mention, but they're important ones. First, we didn't run what you'd normally think of as an installment of Music Business Microscope this month. The nature of the Bob Daisley interview is such that another feature on the evils of the music business would have cast a vibe we didn't want. The series will resume next issue. For this month, we consider the Bob Daisley interview to BE an installment of Music Business Microscope, for if that's not a precautionary tale for young musicians, then what is?

Also, I'm very happy to welcome Alan Wright to Cosmik Debris. When we first started this magazine, we didn't have anyone to write the reviews. Someone suggested Alan, who e-mailed a stack of reviews to me and said "with my compliments." I think there were about 120 reviews in there! What a guy! For the first three or four issues, all reviews were done by Alan. At that point, we all started chipping in and we picked up three or four new staffers, and we were on our feet. Thanks largely to Alan. He still writes for several publications, and we're happy to be one of them again. It's very exciting to have our original reviewer back on board.

That's about it. Go read now. Thanks.
