THE ASYLUM STREET SPANKERS
Spanker Madness (Spanks-a-Lot)

The harmonica's wailing, the slide's on the guitar, the string bass is plucked, and I swear the lady is about to yodel. Old timey, smoke-filled club, country swing blues sounds mighty fine when done up right. And the ASS play it right, slipping nicely into the void left by the dearly missed Squirrel Nut Zippers. Tunes about addictive substances, mainly pot if you must know, with a screwy, slap happy bent, recorded all immediate like, makes for a swell listen, not to mention a sloppy, fun sing-a-long good time. Cheeky bastards - gawd love 'em.
