CADILLAC BLINDSIDE
These Liquid Lungs (Fueled By Ramen)
Reviewed by Jason

This album begins with a flurry of energy,
smacking you in the face with a dry mix of some
very vintage sounding drums, bass, and guitars.
It feels like about 1983 until Jimmy Russell
speaks up. This was a bit too catchy for
compartmentalization among their 'core contemps.'
The drumming is tight and concise, judicious - it's
nice having the drums keep time
for a change (concept!). One cheer each for Eric
Olsen, Dave Gardner and Bryan Hanna for catching
what's undoubtedly a compelling live band in the
digital domain, where they'll be resting here in
my stereo until I say they can leave.
8/10
