ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK: MELLOW
CQ (Emperor Norton)

The crazy French are killing themselves, trying to make up time for decades out of the lucrative pop music loop. The slinky DJ culture and electronica provide some hope, but it is in the movie soundtrack industry where the real killing is to be had. As indie films explode, the conventional, plodding Hollywood style soundtracks no longer apply. People are actually listening to these things! And why not, when someone like Mellow here can spin a delicious platter like this. Even the requisite mood and car chase instrumentals are superb. Add some swinging French pop numbers from Claude François and Jacques Dutronc, and the listening experience is complete. Movie? Who needs a movie?
