TROY GREGORY
Sybil (Fall Of Rome)

Reviewed by John Sekerka

As the title insinuates, this is an exploration into the many sides of one Troy Gregory. Usually plying his rock art for The Witches, Gregory swings the doors wide open, invites a bevy of Detroit's finest note hackers, and throws up an impressive morsel. The likes of The Dirtbombs, Volebeats, Bantam Rooster and The Sights offer up accompaniment, with Gregory's assured vocal the lone thread. The result is a mish mash of garage, psyche, and twang pop, as Gregory inches ever so close to a classic seventies glam sound. Schizophrenic and damn fine for it.
