SARAH HARMER
All Of Our Names (Cold Snap/Zoe/Universal)
Reviewed by John Sekerka
You really wanna give Sarah a hug. A hug, and nice cup of warm tea. Poor girl, here she is wallowing again, and oh so fragile. I thought that last record sold well enough to warrant a cheerie follow up, maybe a thumping rap record, or a soaring heavy metal piece, but Sarah stays in her carefully woven folk cocoon, spinning lovely yarns about relationships, dreams and journeys. Can't really blame her for delivering "You Were Here Part II", since it is quite a beautiful record, and she really is perfecting her craft, but if you crave another side, I point you in the direction of Sarah's former, and often quite raucous band, Weeping Tile.
