Ryan Moore has been doing his thing long enough now that he's accumulated a sizable collection of strong unreleased material, so why not put it out there for the fans? Dub From the Secret Vaults contains tracks from throughout TC's history, from recent years all the way back to the cassette-only days. If you're familiar with Moore's work, you're already aware that the former Legendary Pink Dot creates dub music that sounds very authentic in the Scratch Perry sense, thanks to a deep understanding of the form and a recording studio comprised of vintage analog equipment. Tubes = warmth, my friends. The sounds, which are consistent despite the years between recordings, are hypnotic and shimmering, drenched in a dreamy reverb and paced nice 'n slow for maximum effect. The quality of Moore's work has been consistently high over the years, and these unreleased tracks offer new peaks into those years while holding together remarkably well on its own.
