TERRY CLARKE
Mother Indigo (Gadfly)

Reviewed by Shaun Dale

Though he's been playing for a good long while and has a well established reputation in England and Ireland, Mother Indigo is Terry Clarke's first US album release. It's about time.

Terry Clarke is exactly what's right about the whole notion of "singer/ songwriter." One fine, expressive voice. One rich sounding, well played twelve string guitar. Ten terrific songs telling ten great stories. That's all there is, and that's everything you need.

Let's not beat around the bush. If you have any interest whatsoever in the world of folk music, this is an album you should be listening to as soon as possible. Gadfly's found another gem, and bless 'em for sharing it with us.
