There's nothing like a good Halloween record now is there? Combining ghoulish themes with surf guitars may be a tried and true formula, but it's a winner. String aficionados will not only appreciate the Ventures reference in "Nokie's Drowning", but the stellar picking as well. The few vocal numbers here, though a little flat in delivery, show a stellar touch for tongue in cheek macabre. Song title of the week: "Poontwang". This one's a (grave)keeper.
