Thurman Valentine used to do a Vampire shtick in the fifties which ran aground cuz his leadin' ladies would leave the show. How odd that someone named Valentine would have women trouble, and trouble he had. Though as y'all know, women trouble can be a blessing, especially in channeling powerful emotions through other forms, like writin' and singin'. T. Valentine is still singin' about women, and that's a good thing. There's "Betty Sue", and "Lucille", which are pretty self explanatory. Collecting these nuggets along with some black power excursions (not as successful, though interesting enough in their own light) and capping it off with a Vampire radio spot, the smartass folks at Norton have unleashed another primo obscurity in the vein of Andre Williams on to the unsuspecting public at large. God bless 'em.
