Tattoo The Earth - The First Crusade (1500 Records)

This 14 track document of the Tattoo The Earth Tour, which paired metal
musicians with tattoo artists and piercers for a cross country romp this
summer, is loud, profane, loud, irreverent, loud, rebellious, loud, and,
well, it's a fairly high volume affair.
Fuckin' A.
With aural assaults from a lineup including Slipknot, Slayer, Sevendust,
Sepultura, Hatebreed, Mudvayne, (hed) pe, Nothingface, The Workout
Movement, U.P.O. and Nashville Pussy, the disc covers a reasonably wide
range of contemporary metal styles. It's a good way to catch up with
some newer acts if you haven't been paying attention, and a good way to
check in with some old favorites, too. This one belongs in every metal-
head's stocking this year. If it's not in yours, get your own.
And turn it the fuck up.
