Smarmy bastards! Legend has three guitar strumming English superstar orphans named Otto, Nikki and Julius relocate via submarine to Texas where, in an effort to cash in on the gay techno scene, turn to super sleazy synthesizers and make blippy muzak like Depeche Mode on speed. Heck, isn't that David Gahan crooning on "Lavender Shakedown" - the lone sorry raspberry in a glorious bunch? Whatever the truth, there is no denying the lure of this blatantly retro cash grab, and the boys really do have something here. Hey, people who didn't live through the eighties think they were great, and who am I to pop that zeppelin? Besides, you can dance to it like a silly spinning Brit twit enraptured by the flashing lights of a new wave disco as porn directors sniff coke in the balconies above. I give it a 74 Dick.
