This EP is made mostly of remixes of songs from The Chemicals' album Come With US from last spring. Hard driving techno, these cuts are a must for any DJ's toolbox but they're mostly instrumental so they may leave the average listener a little cold. However they do include a rare live recording - a version of "Temptation" mixed with "Star Guitar."

So what, remixes are a dime a dozen you say? Computer-enhanced fans will be happy to watch the two videos "Star Guitar" and "The Test," included here too. I couldn't get them to play from the CD's interface on my laptop (running Windows XP Home, I've had problems like this before with enhanced CD's), but they played just fine when I triggered them from inside Quicktime. It wasn't as good as DVD quality of course but they were both impressive nonetheless.

All this makes AmericanEP an essential for hard core Chemical fans and serves as a great doorway into their work.
