Kind of an emo-y-math rocky jam band, occasionally punctuated with spoken or screamed lyrics that remind me of Thurston Moore's spoken word bits on various Sonic Youth albums, and then at other times more melodic group choruses that are miked so far in the background that if you aren't paying attention, you just might miss them. I think they're fine for what they are, but the genre's been so done again and again that anything that's not spectacularly different than Modest Mouse or anything on the Jade Tree label just sounds pointlessly derivative.
