Had no idear. Appears that original German punk princess Nina Hagen has been enraptured by India. Enough to record an album of honest to goodness Indian music. Talk about being reborn: gone are the multi-octave shrieks and spastic funk blasts, replaced by soothing chants and hypnotic rhythms. Your speakers will sigh with relief. Several mantras give the studio disc a traditional feel, and just to prove that this ain't no joke (the cover image suggests Nina just may pulling our collective chain), Hagen includes a vibrant live disc too. Half the proceeds go to charity. Uh, I am speechless.
