How quaint: Swedish all chick punk band deliver a heartfelt ode to The Runaways. Cherry Bomb - Jennie Bomb, the update is complete. Except these lassies are an original rockin' force unto themselves. "Alright Alright," a grand slab of THE RAWK opens the disc in thundering fashion. It's a tornado of guitars and drums and harmony shrieks, that explodes nicely thanks to some well spaced seething set ups. The ladies can't quite match the opening fireworks, but come damn close on the remainder of the set. And best of all, there's no svengali Kim Fowley pressing the buttons in the background. At least, not that I'm aware of. I haven't got much sleep since procuring this little hottie platter - don't tell the missus.
