Nobody could ever accuse Walter Schreifels of being a one-trick pony. His musical repertoire includes belonging to the hardcore band Gorilla Biscuits and the metal-influenced Quicksand, and this newest project, Walking Concert, which sounds nothing at all like his previous efforts. Instead, Waling Concert's debut is full of lush stringed arrangements, gentle, melancholy choruses, and Beatlesque musical arrangements. It's really amazing, when you think of it, that an artist as proficient as Schreifels can do so many musical 360s in his lifetime and do them all so well. What's next, a spoken word ensemble?
