THE GREEN PAJAMAS
The Carolers' Song (Hidden Agenda)
Reviewed by DJ Johnson
Nearing their 20th year together, Seattle's best kept secret, The Green Pajamas pop up
with something that isn't really a Christmas CD but rather a tasty little EP with a
Christmas song and a few spiritual themes here and there. It's an indispensable addition
to your collection if you already know about this superb folk/garage/psych band, and if
you don't, ask someone! Search for an MP3. (Yeah, music execs, I said it!) Find out what
you've been missing, then buy this and everything else they've done. Recommendation: the
Get Hip release, Indian Summer, which is a compilation that is magnifique. Truly, though,
if the mere blending of the words folk/garage/psych interests you, The Green Pajamas could
become your favorite band. This 7 song EP may not be a Christmas CD - not with lyrics like
"you tell me now she might be waiting on our bed - you'll never get to heaven until you
get those thoughts from your head" - but it'll make a good Christmas present. From you
to you.
