II: Power Of Moonlight (Hell Cat)
Reviewed by John Sekerka
Nick 13 was looking like the new Joe Strummer on the debut record, but abruptly
turns a corner with a sequel record that is a relentless high octane hybrid of
rockabilly and punk in a power trio format. An underlying country feel breaks
through on the stellar "In The Orchard," a tune turned down several notches to
reveal Nick's wonderful nasal twang riding a sweet pedal steel guitar wave. A
momentary lapse in the high fuelled proceedings, but hopefully a sign of things
to come.
