CLEDUS T. JUDD

Beating Weird Al to the country punch may be enough to grant this hillbilly-disser his fifteen
minutes of fame--well, maybe fifteen seconds on Entertainment Tonight. Great news fodder, this:
a chubby, nose-ringed, Star Wars-coiffed cross between that Prodigy singer and Benny Hill,
Cledus T. Judd (no relation as the CD states) takes on new country (beating me to the punch,
the bastard). Like shooting fish in a barrel, this--though I can't see how you can make Garth
Brooks look any sillier. A couple of inspired digs, "Shania I'm Broke" and "Livin' Like John
Travolta," should be popping up on country music television, somewhere between the rodeo
highlights and the square dance marathon.
