DIRTY THREE
Whatever You Love, You Are (Touch & Go)

As marvelous as the Dirty Three are, you had to wonder about the limitations posed by an
instrumental trio guided by a lone violin. Instead of repeating themselves, this Aussie trio
continues to evolve with each and every album. This time around, Warren Ellis overdubs his
violin parts to create a thicker, plusher sound, elevating what used to be stark and immediate,
to a new listening level. This is by far the group's most endearing and sophisticated work.
Simply beautiful.
