Contrary to the title of his debut CD, Dominic Chianese has never had a hit, at least not a musical one, and it's not all that likely that he ever will. He is, though, a principle part of a major television hit in his role as Uncle Junior on the HBO series, The Sopranos. His interest in music, whether as a performer on Broadway stages, club audiences or in musical therapy settings, is long-standing, and while this disc may not be headed for the tops of the pops - the nature of the material alone is stacked against that prospect - he acquits himself well on a material ranging from traditional Italian songs to a trio of originals.

His musical persona is considerably more personable than his Sopranos character, and this is a well performed, well produced disc that's bound to appeal to fans of the show and the general folk-pop audience.
