Kelly Hogan's thrilling vocals have graced many a fine record, and it's about time that the chanteuse steps into the solo spotlight. And oh boy, is this a treat. Right from the get go Hogan weaves her hypnotizing spell, swinging ever so sweetly in a heartbroken country lilt on the fabulous "I'll Go To My Grave Loving You." In just a couple of minutes Hogan captures a lifetime of emotion, and it's darn purty too. These are songs that touch the heart. Songs of sadness, desperation. Songs sung and played with painful beauty. Songs that won't leave you alone. Kinda like Dusty Springfield used to lay down.
