THE SATELLITERS
Sexplosive! (Dionysus)
Reviewed by John Sekerka
Leave it to those cavern loving Germans to revive the unabashed glory of mid-sixties Northwest punk. This may be a brand new slab but it sure sounds like it belongs on a Nuggets comp: psyche guitars, soaring farfisa organ fills, maracas, tambourines and a snotty vocal bring it all home baby. Tracks are listed as 1-8 Side A, and 1-8 Side B - how quaint. This ain't no tongue in cheek retro tribute, The Satelliters live in a special time and place capsule all their own. Dig it.
