Yeah, so, how cruel is it to write a bad review of a CD whose proceeds are slated to benefit a children's hospital? Agh, the pressure! I can't take it! Okay, maybe I can. Well, this CD isn't awful, and in fact, it's great, if you're a big fan of that pink-haired frat boy kind of punk rock that's managed to poke its nose into everything from TV commercials to MTV-scored teen movies. For yea, we are in boy-rocker heaven here, with bands like Reel Big Fish, Astoria, Campground Effect, and Up Syndrome making up the 20-track lineup, with nary a chick lead singer in sight and repetitive throbbing bass lines and math-rock guitar configurations galore.
