Gottingen jumps styles at will, everything from classic polka lounge (James Last), to passive sixties folk pop (Barbara), to evocative seventies funk punk (Nina Hagen), to current psychedelic sound escapades (Sam), delivering everything that is German and fine in an extraordinary music time capsule. There's no denying the curiosity lure of a record that includes Dusty Springfield belting "Wishin and Hoping" in German. "Warten und Hoffen" everyone!
