A record for all seasons, Fuzz Townshend dishes up a bountiful buffet style platter ready to serve any mood, any style, any inkling. Opening with a sombre Nick Drake ape, followed by a breezy lazy beat tune, then a positively peppy pulsing pop track, Townshend keeps shifting gears on this fourteen wheeler to ensure full attention is paid. As a maestro drummer (Pop Will Eat It Itself), Townshend knows how to manipulate a groove, and throws in enough sensual musical diversions to reel in most unsuspecting listeners. This is a dastardly clever, Beck-style experimental audio excursion. Resistance is futile.
