GOOD RIDDANCE
Bound By Ties of Blood and Affection
(Fat Wreck Chords)

The production on this, the 98th album by Good
Riddance, is crystal to the ears, but
thematically disjointed. Bound By Ties of
Blood and Affection feels as though one's
going to the trouble of using binoculars to see
an item six inches away, while the up tempo "punk
rock" that Good Riddance subscribe to whizzes by
but only appears to be moving very quickly.
Meanwhile lyrics like "[you] wore all your cheap
abuse like battle scars" and "media lies
disguised as the truth" say nothing that you
haven't already been told -- some of it by Good
Riddance themselves years ago.
