BR5-49
Coast To Coast (Arista)

If this ain't just the nicest little breath of fresh country air! You may
think BR5-49 is a pretty spiffy little country outfit, but this live album
reveals them to be southern country rockers that may not give The Allmans
a run for their money in the awe department, but they sho nuff can give you
a good time. They have fun in this concert performance, playing songs they
grew up cranking out in the bars. Songs like "Six Days On The Road,"
"Big Mouth Blues" and "Uneasy Rider" come off sparkling because the band
was obviously enjoying the performances themselves. The playing is tasty
and it all has that irresistible country sting that conjures images of haystacks
and tall hats. And there's a twangy little studio track at the end for good
measure. Good fun, darlin'.
