THE CONGOS
Live At Maritime Hall (2B1)

A landmark record from the label dedicated to releasing live reggae documents as heard in the
San Francisco's Maritime Hall. Like the Live at Ronnie Scott's series (mailny blues), this
venture is full of hit and miss performances, but every now and then you get a real gem. The
Congos for instance. After a sizzling ressurection fueled by the re-release of the classic
Heart of the Congos , the band has found new life after a three decade retirement. The Congos
deliver some of the sweetest roots reggae I've ever had the pleasure of succumbing to, and it's
a special treat to hear it live.
