EMMYLOU HARRIS
Cimarron (Eminent)

Resurrecting Emmylou's back vinyl catalogue in CD format is a no-brainer. Dating back to 1981,
Cimarron is a wonderful mix of folky material from all over the map (Bruce Springsteen, Townes
Van Zandt, Chip Taylor), that enjoyed some success on the charts, but was really a curve to
hard core country fans. Not one to run with Nashville pack, California girl Harris has always
paved her own road, and this could very well be her turning point album. With its diverse mix
giving it a Lucinda Williams feel, Cimarron is right at home in the new millennium.
