Can't get enough of those groovy found sound collages, especially when presented by seasoned pros like Negativland, plulink and Coil. Sure to clutter college radio waves near you (especially the poignant, fifties-like educational "Period Piece"), this swanky comp straddles the fine line of brilliance and annoyance; I think that's where the title comes in. Initially intriguing, then addictive, and finally obtrusive, clever and repetitive sound bites, like potato chips, have a definite shelf life. Get it before the expiry date!
