MOKA ONLY
Lime Green (Battle Axe)
Reviewed by Jason Thornberry
Canada has been bringing out some of the best
hip-hop lately. If you haven't yet heard Balance
by Swollen Members shame, shame, shame! One of
2000's best cd's (hip-hop, blue-grass, muzak,
indie-country, grindcore, new age, rock opera, IDM
or otherwise. You can rectify things somewhat, or
at least find out what you've been missing by
picking up this album. Swollen Members guest with
Moka on one track and S&M's Mad Child rocks the
spot with him on a song as well. Together they're
The Perfect Strangers, and with the Balance
album, a couple of fantastic compilations, and
Lime Green out on the table I'm ready for a
Perfect Strangers full-length. Best songs here
were Skeletons, Team Work (with LMNO), Live It,
Magnitude, Formula Fresh, and Crunch. Don't sleep
on this!
