Not to be confused with the Lexington, Kentucky band of the same name, this was a pre-Murder City Devils outfit that featured three future members of that combo (Spencer, Dann and Derek), and Andrea (now of Pretty Girls Make Graves) on the drums. They played a handful of shows and recorded this eight-song demo. This is very proto-MCDs in that some of the songs actually became better known as MCD songs. It's more stripped-down sounding than the MCDs, only one guitar, minimalist drumming and no keyboards at all. The versions of "Tell You Brother" and "Broken Glass," both of which are better known as MCDs songs, barely resemble the versions on the first MCDs disc. There's a sort of Cramps meets the Birthday Party sound here. Cool.
