BOOK: Shark Hunters
Written by Jef Czekaj (Top Shelf)
Reviewed by John Sekerka
The hunters in question are Julie and Grampa, and the shark is named Steven, so you know this won't induce any Jaws-like nightmares. The frivolous "what I did on my summer vacation" adventure takes our heroes to the ends of earth, and far beyond, in search of Steven, and as many bad jokes as Grampa can come up with. The whimsical tale is perfectly depicted by Czejak's puffy and colourful drawings, a clever style that lures the small kids and has a definite warp factor for the bigger kids. About as fun and bouncy as a book can be.
