QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE
Lullabies To Paralyze (Interscope)

Apparently one Joshua Homme used to lead a group of crazed musicians responsible for spearheading the stoner rock craze of present day. His band of merry men would disappear into the dessert for primal man and amped guitar activities, whilst partaking in various illicit smoke festivities, resulting in a devious concoction of aphrodisiac sounds found most favourable with the rebellious teen set. Upon careful aural inspection of his most recent recording endeavor, a rather lacking effort in spirit, vision and danger (essential components of the rock and roll equation), one would guess that if Mr. Homme was indeed responsible for pleasurable musical moments in the past, they remain in the dessert. Quite.
