THE LIVING END
Roll On (Reprise)

Reviewed by John Sekerka

Saving rock and roll is a hard chore. If you believe the hype, The Living End are the latest saviours to turn the music biz right side up again. And yes, these boys make a good go of it. Plenty of melodic noise here to please the masses. The spirited snarl of the Clash. The smarmy wit of The Offspring. Add some rockabilly flavour and you've a platter that's a can't miss proposition. Trouble is sustaining the oomph for the duration without repeating formulas. The result being a handful of catchy singles ready for serious chart action, and a band still in the growing stages.
