MARK KOZELEK
What's Next To The Moon (Badman)

Sometimes a guitar and a voice is all you need. The sparse, quiet delivery of Mark Kozelek, he of the Red House Painters, lies somewhere between Nick Drake and Richard Buckner. And that is pretty good company. Stripping songs down to the very basic elements, and presenting them in a serene, unobtrusive way is a tricky proposition. Especially when they are Bon Scott era AC/DC songs. No joke here, this is remarkably pretty stuff, and you will be pleasantly knocked out.
