Straight Up! (MCA)

Long Beach alt-rockers One Way Ride have turned in a quality set of
songs for their new MCA release, with a quality set of performances to
display them. Nothing particular original about the sound here, but
it's definitely the kind of thing that people that like this kind of
thing like. Like me, for instance.
Equally adept at full out thrash and thoughtful ballads, they have a
wide sonic range for a quartet, and front man Leldon has some of the
best pipes in the genre.
These guys have been at it for almost a decade, and they're willing to
work hard at it. The payoff is a major label album that actually rocks
and is definitely worth checking out.
