SILVER TONGUED DEVIL
Red-Eyed Tongue-Tied (Get Hip)

These Pittsburgh maniacs, survivors of Pilsner and Eviction, rock as hard as anyone out there, with a great big guitar tsunami smashing right into you and not a thing you can do about it. I'd have to say it's about 60/40 punk/metal. The best quick description I can give is to say imagine Lemmy fronting The Humpers. So much energy, and it translates to the listener, oh yes it do! Tragically, the whole thing turns sour to me when they do a song called "You Broke My Heart (So I Broke Your Face)." I spent a few hours in the headphones trying to make sure it wasn't a twist before I wrote this. Can't find one. They're on the recently resurrected Get Hip label. Since almost all of zinedome, including those of us at Cosmik Debris, celebrates the return of Get Hip, you'll be seeing this band's name a lot. Can't recommend it. Can't recommend anything that makes it sound like it's okay to strike a woman. Seems like more and more artists from too many genres of music are making it sound like par. Knock it off.
