WILL HOGE

Nashville's Will Hoge is a throwback. A throwback to high-powered 70's rockers like Elvis Costello, Graham Parker, Bruce Springsteen in his early days, or the chronically underrated Marshall Crenshaw. That said, he's got quite a legacy to live up to. With John Hampton (Replacements, Gin Blossoms, Mudhoney) engineering Will Hoge's first studio CD, Carousel, Will sure does. Hoge's got powerful support from Kirk Yoquelet on drums, former Georgia Satellite frontman Dan Baird on guitar, and Tres Sasser on backing vocals. This outfit rocks like few have in recent years, particularly on "Let Me Be Lonely" or "Your Fool." "Ms. Williams" landed on the Aware 8 sampler (Columbia) that also includes Will Hoge, Marty Lloyd (Freddy Jones Band), Glenn Phillips (Toad the Wet Sprocket), John Mayer and a host of other up and coming artists. Fans of supercharged power pop will get on the Carousel online at www.willhoge.com.
