Yet another minimalist punk band from Beantown (Boston). As much as I really tried to have an open mind, this did nothing for me. I've only heard 9,330,001 other bands biting the same "We don't give a shit, maaan!" style. How many times can you actually duplicate something before the original emotion and significance of it is spent?

I'll give you a good comparison. I watched Jerry Springer a few nights ago, and some poor guy's fiancé had just admitted to him that she slept with a bunch of his family members. The audience was understandably underwhelmed, and started chanting "SLUT! SLUT! SLUT! SLUT!" Her defiant reply? "Yeah, but I'm a good slut!"

Avoid One Thing are a totally unremarkable, clichéd band milking a once-great genre that eventually became a caricature of itself.

But they're good at it.
