NEW AMERICANS
Self-titled (David Fufkin)
Reviewed by Jason

Melodic pop reminiscent of the Carpenters, or
possibly America. The duo of Dan Touhy and Casey
Fundaro produce an eight-song sampling of
late-night Floridian tavern rock on this
self-titled cd. Well executed, with an
outstanding recording, but none of the tracks
stayed in my head for very long. On the whole the
sound of this debut usually
outweighed the songwriting.
Pity.
